PHOTOGRAPHY - Alternative Photography and Hand made Photobooks

Tutor/Facilitator: Dona Parker
8 Thursday evenings - Starts on 12 February from 6:30 - 8:30pm

Discover the magic of creating with alternative photographic practices and push the boundaries of traditional image making. Learn how to produce photographs using one of the oldest photographic practices; cyanotype while also exploring other alternative photo processes such as lumen prints and anthotypes. This eight week course will also introduce you to the world of hand made (photo) books and a simple hand stitch technique to create your very own. Materials will be supplied to you during the course (payment to tutor for what you use) but you are more than welcome to bring along other creative supplies you wish to experiment with, suggestions for supplies to bring and how best to use them will be given during the course as well. At the end of the course you will walk away with a new found love for the introduced alternative photographic processes and your own handmade book (made by your very own hands) of the wonderous images you created during the course.

Fees: NZ$135 - Some material costs depending on project
