8 Wednesday nights - Starts on 14 October from 7-9pm

Conversational English for those who feel confident at reading and writing. The focus is on learning pronunciation & meaning in a NZ context so that you will gain NZ cultural intelligence to complement your English language skills. Additional written and comprehension support can be given if requested by class members. Emphasis is placed on topical NZ cultural events so that you may gain confidence and become part of your community.

Sewing for Beginners (Thursday)

Tutor/Facilitator: Janet Barnes
8 Thursday nights - Starts on 15 October from 7-9pm

This class is for people who are wanting to gain confidence with a sewing machine. And those just starting can work through a project making a shopping bag to introduce them to the sewing machine and sewing techniques.

8 Wednesday nights - Starts on 14 October from 7-9pm

Learn how to understand a pattern, work out the material needed and what sewing words mean. If you wish to make your own project under the guidance of the tutor then you need to go to the Monday class.
