EASY TAI CHI (THURSDAY)

8 Thursday mornings - Starts on 11 February from 9:45-10:45am

Tai Chi is an exercise that is effortless and fun for your body and mind. This is an art and an exercise that the Chinese have been practicing to keep healthy, flexible, balanced, active, sociable and youthful. This class is most suited for SENIOR CITIZENS but anyone can attend. It will be held at the LINDEN Community Centre.

JELLY ART CAKES

1 Thursday night - On 11 March from 6:30-9:30pm

Learn to make beautiful 3D jelly cakes. These confections are made with jelly and aga powders (which are from seaweeds and vegan-friendly) and inject colorful motifs onto a clear base. These cakes are an awe-inspiring example of when food transcends into edible works of art.

PILATES: Beginner / Intermediate (Thurs)

Pilates is a blend of physical and mental workouts helping you to increase your flexibility and core strength, and improve your posture. This class is suitable for beginner or intermediate students who have attended some Pilate's classes before.

Sewing for Beginners (Thursday)

This class is for people who are wanting to gain confidence with a sewing machine. And those just starting can work through a project making a shopping bag to introduce them to the sewing machine and sewing techniques.

VEGETABLE & FRUIT CARVING

This course will teach you basic methods and techniques for carving vegetables and fruits to make exquisite garnishes and decorations. All ingredients and tools included in course fee.

VIETNAMESE COOKING:

4 Thursday nights - Starts on 11 February from 6-8pm

These dishes can be enjoyed for any meal and will be taught by a Vietnamese chef with a passion for authentic cooking. The menu will include dishes such as savoury pancakes, wraps, rolls noodle soups and rice noodle salads.

WOODWORK:Skills & Projects (Thursday)

8 Thursday nights - Starts on 11 February from 7-9pm

Learn wood working skills using hand tools and the type of power tools found in the home. Choose your own project at your level of ability and learn skills while completing the project. You provide your own materials. No recycled timber allowed.
