KNITTING: Creative Relaxation for Beginners

Want to knit but think it’s too difficult? It’s not….did you know that all knitted pieces are a combination of just two stitches? In this class, you’ll master the basic knitting techniques - casting on and off, and knit and purl stitches . We’ll also take a look at interpreting knitting patterns, which is often the part of this craft that knitters find most difficult."

New Zealand Sign Language: Level 1A (Thursday)

For those who want an introduction to NZ Sign Language then join this beginner class. Units 1-3 will be covered. A condition of enrolment on this course is that you will attend at least 80% of the sessions. The first time you enrol, you'll need to provide your National Student Number (NSN) or, if you don't have one, email a copy of your passport or birth certificate as proof of your NZ citizenship or residency to [email protected]

Patchwork: Christmas Capers

Christmas Capers is a fun project that uses small amounts of fabric that does not need to be Christmas themed. It is ideal for fat 1/4's and scraps. Participants will learn about various methods of Applique, constructing fast flying geese, half and quarter square triangles, and embellishments.

Pilates is a blend of physical and mental workouts helping you to increase your flexibility and core strength, and improve your posture. This class is suitable for beginner or intermediate students who have attended some Pilate's classes before.

WOODWORK:Skills & Projects (Thursday)

This class is now FULL. Learn wood working skills using hand tools and the type of power tools found in the home. Choose your own project at your level of ability and learn skills while completing the project. You provide your own materials. No recycled timber allowed. This class will be held at the Tawa Menz Shed in Davies St Tawa.
