BUILDING RESILIENCE IN CHILDREN

JELLY ART CAKES

Learn to make beautiful 3D jelly cakes. These confections are made with jelly and aga powders (which are from seaweeds and vegan-friendly) and inject colorful motifs onto a clear base. These cakes are an awe-inspiring example of when food transcends into edible works of art.

Parents As Driving Coaches

1 Thursday night - On 3 September from 7-9pm

Development of the adolescent brain is critical when it comes to learning to drive. International research confirms parents can play a significant role in shaping and influencing the executive functions required of adolescents when learning to drive a motor vehicle. This two hour session provides tips on the learning to drive process and driving techniques to ensure their family members commence on a path of lifelong safe driving.

WOODWORK MADE EASY (Thursday)

Learn wood working using hand tools and the type of power tools found in the home. Choose your own project at your level of ability and learn skills while completing the project. You provide your own materials. No recycled timber allowed.
