Linda Savell and Jackie Haddow
Linda has been playing with clay for over 35years. firstly as a teenager in her mother’s studio then on and off as a young adult at night classes and as a member of a the pottery club. For the last 20 years she has been far more dedicated to potting and have a love of both hand building and wheel thrown work. She has found herself informally tutoring both Adults and children for over 10 years and find sharing her love of pottery very rewarding. She now hopes that she can share her experience and knowledge with new potters.
Jackie has always been creative and enjoyed various arts and crafts since her teen years, and has experience teaching pre-school and school-aged children. Her clay journey started after completing a couple of wheel-work courses with Anne Glennie, and her current passion is hand-building exploring the variety of textures and forms that can be achieved. She joined the Gear Homestead Pottery Club 5 years ago and has been a committee member for the last 3 years. This has involved planning and running activity nights for club members which she has really enjoyed. And now she would like to share her knowledge and skills with other would-be potters.
