Ian Hulston

Since an early age Ian has had a keen interest in Art. He started his career as a Graphic Artist attending the Wellington Polytech School of Design.

There he trained under various well known Artists and Illustrators.He has worked for various Printers and Advertising Agencies, plus the Dominion Post as a Designer and Illustrator.

Currently he works freelance as an illustrator and also runs his own small Picture Framing business, plus teaches night classes in Acrylic painting and drawing to Adults.

His Artwork has been displayed in various exhibitions on at local galleries also The New Zealand Academy of Fine Arts and Watercolour NZ. and collected by overseas visitors.

ART: Acrylic Painting & Multi-Drawing Medium
8 Tuesday nights - Starts 12 February from 7-9pm

This course is for Beginners and Intermediate Students. Learn basic drawing skills using pencils, charcoal and watercolour pencils. Create colourful graphic images with both oil pastels or soft pastel. Paint with Acrylics to portray images using a watercolour glaze technique or use thick Impasto Acrylic paint like oils.

FANTASY FOLKLORE & CARTOON ART:
4 Thursday nights - Starts 21 February from 7-9pm

Do you like to think outside the square? This course is suitable for beginners or those with some experience keen to develop further skills. This 4 week course will allow you to express your imaginery ideas creating Fantasy Art and Cartoons. Using pen, coloured pencils, Acrylic paint & Gouche you will be able to illustrate your own colourful unique artworks.
