-The student will have an understanding on how a story should take the reader on a journey

Character Development

-The student will understand the importance of character development and how it impacts on the story.
-The student will recognize and develop backstories for each character they create.
Week Five
Show Don’t Tell
Objective:
-Understanding the difference.
Week Six:
Theme & Genre
Objective:
-Understanding various themes and genre and how they apply to your work.
Week Seven:
Writing Exercises
Objective:
-Having a resource to help with writing once the course is finished.
Week Eight:
From Beginning to End
Objective:
-Improvements on first drafts from the beginning of class to now
-Recap of the topics covered and a where to from here section.

Refund requests must be made in writing to the Co-ordinator. Prior to the course commencing, a 20% administration cost will be removed from the refund. No refund will be available 24 hours prior to the course starting or once the course has started. A full refund is available should the Coordinator cancel the course.
