Modern Art 

Explore some modern abstract art techniques including cubism and pointillism dot art and create your own modern abstract paintings to take home and enjoy. This modern art workshop is perfect for both beginners and experienced artists who wish to expand their imagination, master new skills and have fun.

By the end of the course, you’ll be able to: 
• Demonstrate an understanding of some modern art techniques 
• Demonstrate how to create artworks using colour, design, cubism and pointillism dot painting 
• Complete at least three modern abstract paintings to take home 
• Share ideas and have fun

Materials - things to bring 

Acrylic paints

Paint brushes

Canvas – x3 canvas (size 8x10 or smaller)

Cardboard - x3 white sheets A4 size 

Artist Paper – x3 white sheets A4 size

Scissors

Ruler

A roll of Masking tape

Pencil & eraser

Sharpie Black felt pen

Glue stick

Old tooth brush

Paper cups – x5 disposable cups

Palette e.g. plastic plate or icecream lid

Plastic spray bottle – to fill with water (available from $2 shops)

Old magazine

An old rag

An old glass jar for water

Old apron or shirt to protect your clothes

Refund policy

Refund requests must be made in writing to the Co-ordinator.   Prior to the course commencing, a 20% administration cost will be removed from the refund. No refund will be available 24 hours prior to the course starting or once the course has started. A full refund is available should the Coordinator cancel the course.
