Do you like to think outside the square? This course is suitable for beginners or those with some experience keen to develop further skills. This 4 week course will allow you to express your imaginery ideas creating Fantasy Art and Cartoons. Using pen, coloured pencils, Acrylic paint & Gouche you will be able to illustrate your own colourful unique artworks.

Japanese Cooking Homestyle

This will encompass both traditional ‘washoku’ cuisine, ‘yoshoku’ foreign-influenced Japanese food, and food from Kansai region (Osaka/Kyoto area). Bring your chopsticks, and a container to take leftovers home in.

Parents As Driving Coaches

1 Thursday night - On 7 June from 7-9pm

Development of the adolescent brain is critical when it comes to learning to drive. International research confirms parents can play a significant role in shaping and influencing the executive functions required of adolescents when learning to drive a motor vehicle. This two hour session provides tips on the learning to drive process and driving techniques to ensure their family members commence on a path of lifelong safe driving. Copies of Going Solo resource for parents and restricted drivers will be available. Tawa College has had input into the preparation of the Going Solo resource that is now being offered nationwide.

Patchwork: Christmas Capers

Christmas Capers is a fun project that uses small amounts of fabric that does not need to be Christmas themed. It is ideal for fat 1/4's and scraps. Participants will learn about various methods of Applique, constructing fast flying geese, half and quarter square triangles, and embellishments.

PRINTMAKING: Woodcuts, Linocuts & Drypoint Etching

Discover the art of printmaking to create beautiful artworks for your home or for gifts. You will learn the basics of developing a design for a print, carving designs for block printing, and drypoint etching. You will utilise both hand printing techniques and using an etching press to create a small edition of prints.
