ART: Acrylic Painting & Multi-Drawing Medium (Beginner)

This course is for Beginners. Learn basic drawing skills using pencils, charcoal and watercolour pencils. Create colourful graphic images with both oil pastels or soft pastel. Paint with Acrylics to portray images using a watercolour glaze technique or use thick Impasto Acrylic paint like oils. Students will need to purchase their own acrylics and brushes at approximately $30.

This course is now FULL. Making silver rings and things…..learn a range of jewellery making techniques including forming, shaping, soldering, texturing, sawing, filing and finishing. The emphasis is on practical skills leading to finished items of jewellery. The silver for a ring and a bangle is included in the course costs as is copper to practice with, saw blades, solder etc. Silver to make additional items can be purchased at a reasonable price. All tools are provided. No previous experience necessary. We will be working with hot metal and tools so workshop clothing and covering footwear please; no open shoes, slides, sandals or jandals allowed. This is for your safety in the workshop.

SELF DEFENCE: Krav Maga(Age 15+)

Krav Maga (contact combat) is a self-defence system developed by the Israeli Defence Force. Its application and efficiency in the real world has been proven to be highly effective by law enforcement agencies, protection services, and the military. The 3 hour session will be at an introductory level and will focus on civilian self defence. Unlike the military or police, the main intent for civilian krav maga is to: Minimise harm to oneself, stop the escalation of conflict by defending in a decisive manner, and also by escaping quickly at the very first opportunity

Sewing for Beginners
