Margaret Seconi

Margaret is a fourth generation Pakeha Kiwi New Zealander who happens to be a retired secondary teacher recently trained in Adult Education. She loves being able to share the customs, culture, history, geography and everyday spoken Kiwi English with those who are new to this country. Helping to improve pronunciation is a strength that she's developed through years of singing and chatting with migrants & visitors from other countries. Her many hobbies include: choir, gardening, travelling and cooking.

ESOL: Basic Conversational Group
8 Tuesday nights - Starts 12 February from 7-9pm

Come to a friendly group and learn how to say and write your name, address and phone number; answer the telephone clearly; make appointments; read simple English and chat to your friends and work mates in clear basic Kiwi English. This is a good class for anyone new to English or who has forgotten the English they learnt at school.

ESOL: Intermediate Conversational Group
8 Wednesday nights - Starts 13 February from 7-9pm

Conversational English for those who feel confident at reading and writing. The focus is on learning pronunciation & meaning in a NZ context so that you will gain NZ cultural intelligence to complement your English language skills. Additional written and comprehension support can be given if requested by class members. Emphasis is placed on topical NZ cultural events so that you may gain confidence and become part of your community.
