This has to be one of the easiest and fastest quilts to complete, yes complete means ready to snuggle under......and you will want to snuggle under this. An ideal beginner’s quilt. For the purpose of the needs list we will refer to the frayed edge as the top of the quilt.

The cut blocks are 7½”

Total Blocks    80 top                        80 backing                             80 wadding/insert

Needs List

FABRIC

  • 5 Metres fabric for the top of your quilt (this can be made up as several different fabrics, a .2 cut will yield you 5 cut squares)
  • 5 Metres – fabric for the wadding/insert. (suggestion: a plain colour works best here)
  • 5 Metres fabric for the back of your quilt.

Note: You can use 3.5 metres of 2 different fabrics and alternate their placement on the back and the front to give a checkerboard effect.

EQUIPMENT

  • Sewing machine, manual and usual sewing supplies.
  • Walking foot
  • Rotary Cutter.
  • Cutting Mat.
  •  
  • Machine quilting thread. This is also used for piecing
  • Chalk marker

A full refund is available should the Coordinator cancel the course.
