The course has an emphasis on practical Astronomy – how to observe the objects in our Solar System and Milky Way galaxy by eye, binoculars, telescope, and to obtain digital images of these objects. Participants will have the opportunity to attain NCEA Level One credits:
U.S. 20622 Demonstrate knowledge of our solar system 4 credits, and
U.S. 20623 Demonstrate knowledge of the Milky Way, our galaxy 4 credits
Note that unless you are currently registered with N.Z.Q.A., additional costs would be required to attain these credits.
